Drugstore Make Up Routine vs. High End Make Up Routine

Hello lovelies!
-
As promised here is my drugstore vs high end make up routine, and when I say make up routine I mean from foundation to lipstick. Obviously people have different ideas of what high end and drugstore make up is, so I have pretty much used products that you would typically find in a drugstore for example Boots for those in the UK and then make up you would typically find on counters. I apologise for having two videos, but I couldn't fit in the two whole routine into one video!

Final haul of 2013

Good afternoon everyone!
-
I can't believe this is the last haul of 2013! I know I have only been blogging since around October time but it has gone so quick, I can still remember writing my intro post like it was yesterday! Well anyway with my. Christmas money I went into town and I used all of my MAC voucher except for £5 of it! So here is what I brought!
-
This is a collage of everything all together!
-

Left to right - Soap And Glory Sugar Crush Set from Boots containing body butter, body scrub and body wash (£9 in the sale),  Blue/black glittery false nails from Primark (£1), False Eyelashes from Boots(£5.49), Red false nails from Primark(£1), Real Techniques powder brush from Boots (12.50), MAC blush in stay pretty (£18), MAC palette with new colour Sumptutuous Olive (£10 per pan), MAC concealed in NW15 (£15), and a dome shading brush from Real Techniques (£6)
-
I mainly got a lot of these items because of the offers in Boots for example a buy one get one half price on real techniques brushes and half price on all gift sets! I think I might do a what I wore for New Year's Eve and a look using all high end products then compare that with a drugstore look. Also I will do a few looks with my MAC palette! Wel thanks for reading everyone and have a lovely evening!

Requested: What I Got For Christmas AND what I wore!

Merry Christmas everyone!
-
Today I promised everyone of my readers a what I go for Christmas post, so here it is! I want to of course thank my parents and grandparents for my presents! I was planning on doing a review for each of my presents so you guys can get my opinion of them if you were looking for some products to spend any Christmas money on. Also there are a few what I wore pictures mixed in with the presents! Sorry that I can't give prices for the products because I don't know any of them!
-
So I wore black TopShop jeans, a 'tomato' TopShop cami, a silver TopShop chain bracelet and River Island ankle boots.
This was from my lovely auntie Sarah and it is an Elf Highlighter and I already love it!

This is the Elegant Touch rapid drying spray that I actually used this morning and it actually works really well.
A closer look at my camisole.
This is the Bourjois Chocolate Bronzer that I have wanted for forever! This is colour 51.
Sorry you can't see the colour but this is an Elf Nail Varnish and it's kind of glittery and a dark blue colour.
I have no idea where this bracelet is from but I love it, and my nails are of course fake as my nails are really short!
One of my favourite gifts, a MAC Studio Fix setting powder!
Probably my second favourite gift - Laura Mercier Creme Brulee moisturizer!
This is a look I did with my new MAC palette using Bare Study Paintpot on the lid, Naked Lunch in the inner corner and Sketch on the outer corner, with a No7 Stay Prefect liquid liner.
My (Mums Side) grandparents gave me a £50 MAC voucher that I will use on Saturday so prepare yourselves for a MAC haul!
My favourite gift - a MAC palette x4 with the colour Sketch, Orb and Naked Lunch!
A large Clean On Me body wash!
A new The Body Shop Wild Lily Body Mist!
MAC Bare Study Paint Pot, which I absolutely love!
And finally The Body Shop Wild Lily Body Lotion!
 -
Well I hope everyone had an amazing Christmas and enjoy your gifts, comment what you all got!

Requested: What's In My Shower?

Merry Christmas eve lovelies!
-
I feel like I haven't said lovelies in ages! I am super excited for Christmas because I think I may have written my best Christmas list yet! If you want to see more of my Christmas list this year I did a blog post on it a while ago.
-
I got this request from Dani so thank you for the lovely request! I have actually wanted to show you guys what's in my shower for a while now but it was so messy, however this morning I took the time to give it a big tidy up and sorted out throwing away old products. This is what I was left with and I apologize for not showing these products actually in my shower, but the lighting is awful in the bathroom! Also there is a picture of my room with the new wallpaper up! It's meant to be like a stone effect but I have forgotten where the wallpaper is from, sorry guys!
-
These are all my body wash and shower gel products and for some reason they're all mini? I don't really know why probably because I got them in a set or something but anyway I will list them left to right - Champneys shower cream, Soap And Glory Clean On Me Shower Gel, Champneys Bath Essence, Body Shop Chocolate Body Wash, and Fruit Boost Blueberry Bath Salts.
These are a few more body products again left to right - Lush Oatifix Face Mask, Calvin Klein Shock Body Lotion, Next Cashmere Body Lotion, Body Shop Love ETC Body Wash, Soap And Glory Mini Righteous Butter, and Soap And Glory Mini Scrub Em And Leave Em.
Here I have just a few bar soaps and half a bath bomb because I used the other half. The red soap - Body Shop Strawberry Soap, The cream soap - Body Shop Chocolate Soap, The yellow soap - Lush Northern Lights soap, and The bath bomb - Lush Butterball.

I seem to have a lot of shampoo's and conditioners because I always like to keep a spare in case I'm in the shower and then realize that I have no shampoo. Left to right - Aussi Aussome Volume Shampoo, Herbel Essences Bee Strong Shampoo, Herbel Essences Bee Strong Conditioner, Pantene Conditioner, John Frieda Sheer Blonde Shampoo.

So that ones just a quick room snap and it's not completely finished yet because I am getting some new grey bedding but I really love it and when my fairy lights are on it looks amazing, also when I walked in my room once the decorator had left I thought it was real because it's so effective!
-
I hope you guys liked this post and please request whatever posts you want to see after Christmas! Merry Christmas everyone as I won't be blogging tomorrow but I will the day after! Love Claudia

MAC Blankety Lipstick Review

Good evening lovelies!
-
Tonight I am doing a bit of late post because I couldn't actually find my lipstick for ages! It wasn't in it's usual place because I had taken it out to town with me the other day and put it in my Mulberry. Anyway I haven't done a review in ages and I really wanted to go back to when I started my blog and all I did was reviews so here it is!
-
I love MAC's packaging because it is really understated but classy. The colour is Blankety or AB2 and it's a lovely nude colour with a dark pink tone.
This colour is unlike most nudes that you would normally have to wear a gloss with because they lack colour. This colour has a good solid rich colour and a gorgeous texture. Sometimes I can find that it leaves my lips a little dry after wearing it, but with a good lip balm as a base and maybe a sheer gloss on top it would be fine.
As you can see this colour is not your conventional nude. It's an opaque colour that doesn't wash you out like MAC's limited edition lipstick The Faerie Glen which is a very neutral colour.
Another swatch
 -
All in all this is my go to lipstick in every season for colour and texture. I know it's a little expensive at £15 per lipstick but it is really worth it!
-
Thank you for reading everyone and have a lovely weekend!
 Love Claudia

Review: Forever 21 Liner Brush

Happy Friday everyone!
-
As you all know by know I went to the Bull Ring in Birmingham yesterday and in Forever 21 there were some make up brushes so I got the foundation and the liner brushes. I wanted to do a reviews of the liner brush one because I never do reviews any more and two because there are loads of liner options out there and I wanted to give my review of this one. I am going to compare this brush with a brush that comes with the 2True liquid liner which is from Superdrug.
-
The brush is really small so it gets a really precise line and also it is flat to you can easily apply more or less to your preferred style. I dip the tip of the brush into my  eye liner pot so I can easily apply it instead of tipping it out. The actual brush looks a little plain I mean the handle is just plain black with the word 'liner' written on it in small capitals on it that look like a font on Pic Monkey!
This is comparing the two looks using different brushes. So the first look is with the provided brush with the eyeliner. As you can tell the line is very thick because getting a precise line without poking your self in the eye with this brush is very tricky. However with the small Forever 21 brush you get a very precise line and a good point. Also it's very effortless to draw!
So in conclusion this brush makes applying liquid eye liner very simple and you get a good wing as well. I prefer using this brush to the provided brush just because it's better quality and also feels better on my eye.
-
Thanks for reading lovelies and comment your favourite brush to use for liquid eye liner! Love Claudia

My 'Uncertain Lazy Day' Make Up Routine

Hello everyone!
-
If your like me and love a good 'lazy day' then you probably will have experienced those lazy days when your in your joggers with no make up on then some one turns up or you have to go out somewhere, with NO make up on! So from now on I wear my uncertain lazy day make up. It's really basic and this is what I find works for me!
-

This is my Magic primer by prescriptives. I brought this ages ago literally ages and ages ago but I love it to be honest. It is meant to be illuminating and it really is. I can't believe they discontinued selling these because I adore them. Most products like this are fake and they don't do what they say they will but with this I trust it 100%. When I wear this primer my skin looks radiant, glowing and shimmery and it is a really smooth base for foundation. So with my routine, I put this on first and then I literally just leave it, no foundation over the top. That probably sounds strange but I find it still looks fab.
After popping on my primer/foundation type product I apply some light bronzing powder with a very large fluffy brush.. The bigger the brush the softer the bronzer will look and because this is just very subtle make up I normally just sweep this across my whole face with a big brush. This one is from MAC and it is just their face bronzing powder. I have no idea what colour this is but as you can see I have hit pan which is very upsetting.
I can't physically leave the house without applying my Rimmel Wake Me Up concealer. Concealer is such an important step in my make up routine for me because for some reason I have really bad dark circles and I think a combination of both a mum and dad with bad dark circles is the answer. This concealer is pretty great, I mean it highlights under my eyes really well to give a literal woken up finish but the coverage isn't great.
Finally I finish up with a Maybelline Baby Lips in pink punch. Everyone loves Baby Lips as do I because the colour and moisture is great! I have talked about these before though in my 'Favourite Lip Balms' post so check that out.
 -
So leave me a comment below if you ever have these days! I love these products so much and they are my basic products I have to wear to feel comfortable leaving the house! See you in my next post lovelies, Love Claudia
